Ashwinder n.

A thin grey serpent with glowing red eyes which comes out of magical fires and lives long enough to lay fiery hot eggs in some dark and secluded spot. These eggs, while valued as potion ingredients, are very dangerous. If they are not found and frozen in time, they will set buildings on fire. It is said that the Ashwinder will only exist as long as the fire from which it was born continues to burn.

The Ashwinder Coalition

A widely known terrorist organization that has been causing trouble through out magical England ever since they appeared in October 1982. The members are a closely guarded secret, but it appears that they have a very pro-Muggleborn rights platform putting much of their effort into destroying the pureblood society. They are responsible for the attacks on Diagon Alley during December 1982 and the assassination attempt on Minister Carrows during the 1983 MMAs in Paris. Their organization has grown in power, taking over not only the airwaves of the WWN, but also finding a way to hack into the journal community to get their findings out to the public. They have most recently given up their attack on the world with bombs and turned to attempting to expose the corruption within the Ministry and the higher ranks of society.  They were able to get a large amount of Death Eaters arrested and brought to the attention of the Wizarding community during March 1983 but were foiled in their attempt when the evidence was destroyed and their journal hacker was arrested and sent to Azkaban.

Known Members

None of these members, unless noted, is known by the public. A * means they have been connected to the Ashwinder Coalition in character.

Joseph Patrick O'Leary: Code Name, O. The leader of the Ashwinder Coalition, O was a prodigy child. Raised in Ireland, he proved at a young age to have an extremely high IQ, and found himself deeply embroiled in politics.

Rupert Croaker: Financial backer. Despite being from a pureblood family himself, Rupert has taken to the pro-Muggleborn platform, and uses his family's wealth to support the Coalition. His voice is usually the one heard speaking for them from the WWN, or before an attack occurs. He seems to like bombs an awful lot as well.

Jay Blue:* Hacker. Not much is known about Jay, but he was the one responsible for the journal hacks in March. He is presumably a Muggleborn, and was arrested for his possession of the journal responsible for the hacks in late March.

Jebediah Cohen: Token American. Not only is he the Token American who is fighting a war he totally didn't start or really have any necessary need to get involved in, but he's also the sexy sidekick who uses their attractive wiles to infiltrate the Deatheaters from the inside, by being the boytoy boyfriend of the Minister's son. Still slightly bitter about the fact that he doesn't get a hot leather leotard with the union jack on it like a Bond Girl; that was totally in his contract somewhere.
