Page history last edited by Aleena 1 yr ago

These are 75 word or less summaries of the Things To Know about your character, acompanied by the places they frequent, their occupations, and their social circles (affiliation included). Their houses are denoted in the colour of their name - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Durmstrang, Beauxbatons, and The Academy of Young Wizards. The year beside a character's occupation is when they graduated, and if it's been struck out that means they dropped out.

Alecto Carrows

Death Eater, '77.

Alecto, or Als (as everyone calls her), is the older half of the infamous twynyrgy. She's a crazy slut and is in the mindset that everyone who's not exactly pureblooded is dirt under her heels. She loves shoes and sadomasochism; since her mother's a model and her father is the former Head of St. Mungo's and new minister, the two combine well.

Connections: Death Eaters, Bath, the elite, fashionistas

Amycus Carrows

Healer, Death Eater, '77.

Amycus may be a brilliant Healer (specializing in spell damage research, thank you very much), but he's also lost the ability to stay sane after spending three years as the Dark Lord's Inferi Go-To Guy. Raised along with his twin sister to be the crème de la crème of high society, he enjoys expensive fashion shows, brightly-coloured t-shirts, and being a drama queen.

Connections: Knockturn Alley, Death Eaters, Healers, the elite, fashionistas, Bath

Arthur Weasley

Order, '69.

The same Arthur Weasley we all know and love - a Muggle-mad, inventor of a family-man who has a bumbling, but warm nature. He's likely to strike up conversation with anybody/anything that hasn't got a scowl pasted on and is fascinated daily by the wonders of batteries and plugs alike. He would also like to know what the heck is up with three-wheeled cars.

Connections: Ottery St. Catchpole, Order, MLE, Ministry

Caradoc Dearborn

Unspeakable, Order, '78.

The resident nerd with a good heart but no backbone of which to speak, Caradoc spends most of his time fretting over how to be a good person without getting himself killed and yet still making it home in time for the next episode of Doctor Who. Carrot is enthusiastic, thoughtful, and dependable, but his latent Welsh insanity rears its head every so often, usually after a mention of Ayn Rand.

Connections: London, Wales, Order, Ministry, Unspeakables

Cash Proudfoot

MLE, '74.

A strange Irishman who drinks, smokes and steals shoes, the best of luck in understanding him. He's taught many a class of prospective Aurors whilst horrifically hungover, yet can keep his head in just about any situation (barring the destruction of sex shops), and has three brothers -- each of whom were in a different House. He's sexing Kirsty and spent most of his Hogwarts days with the Hufflepuffs a year ahead of him.

Connections: MLE, Ireland, Seven Sisters

Charlotte Fenwick-Wilde

Weird Sisters manager, Order, '78.

Charlotte's barely able to summon her Patronus, but she's the only one who can keep the Weird Sisters under control. No, she's not the most competent of Order members (or managers--or spouses--or witches), but her heart's in the right place. Odd fixation with forming clubs with Death Eaters. UPWARS forever!

Connections: Order, musicians, London, UPWARS, Society for the Appreciation of Seafaring Literary Characters

Dorcas Meadowes

Healer-in-training, Order, '81.

While the younger Black runs about in a bunny suit, Dorcas is likely to blame for the bunnies getting it on under the table, the rat clinging onto a lamp and dropping pellets in your coffee, the toad on your knee, being all toad-like, and the cat emptying its bladder on your boot. Don't like it? Too bad. Dorky’s a nice Scottish lass who enjoys Quidditch, books and sweets. Want her to worship you? Bring chocolate!

Connections: Healers, Order, Scotland, London

Frank Longbottom

MLE, Order, '77

Don't mind him, he's just off with the desk ferns. Frank's a family guy who spends a lot of time at work, is rather sensitive about his height, and wonders why Neville insists on eating crayons. He has another kid, whose name is NOT Charma, and would like to know why he always seems to get hurt right before the Order decides to send people on missions.

Connections: Order, MLE

Gemma Black

Unspeakable, Ravenclaw, '77.

Gemma talks to dead people for a living, they talk back, and she gets paid for it! An Unspeakable, former Death Eater and now married with kids to Sirius Black. Rubbish at magic and doesn't carry a wand, but somehow has survived this long with out it. Decent really only at potions and raising her kids.

Connections: London, France, ministry, Unspeakables, Scotland

Giselle Yaxley

Auror, Death Eater, '76.

Giselle Yaxley attended Beauxbatons and spends her days drinking lattes with vanilla and cinnamon. Her potions skills are the best around and she has a very complicated relationship with Antonin Dolohov. Spent some time in prison but now part of the Aurors. Gemma's cousin and a very devoted Death Eater, though she fights with a cup of coffee in hand.

Connections: France, London, Russia, the elite, Death Eaters

Heathcote Barbary

Weird Sisters rhythm guitar, '76.

This football hooligan enjoyed ten years as a Catholic and two in Borstal before coming to join the Weird Sisters on account of accidentally joining Kirley's side in a brawl. He makes no attempt to be polite unless you're his sister or his ward, and will not hesitate to throw a punch in your direction if he's in a 'mood'. He cares, really; it's just hard to tell most of the time.

Connections: Musicians, rebels, Brixton, Surrey, Lambeth

Herman Wintringham

Weird Sisters lutenist, '76.

One-part political activist, one-part history nerd, one-part spoiled prat, and one-part pure hatred, Herman always has something to complain about. He is typically found skulking around Renaissance fairs and sewage systems all across the UK. He's fanatical about Muggle politics; while she may be oblivious to his existence, Margaret Thatcher is his mortal enemy.

Connections: Musicians, rebels, London

selected userpic

Hestia Jones

Daily Prophet reporter/Blood Orchid bar manager, Order, '79.

Blake Hestia Jones is unashamed of what she says, unafraid to step on anyone in her path to reach the top, and really pretty easily guilted. She's not the best Order member, but she'll do what she's guilted into doing, as long as it doesn't interfere with her work, her whatever-the-hell-is-going-on with Reg, or you don't use her first name. Also, she lives with three boys who need a Scrabble intervention ASAP.

Connections: Musicians, Order, London, Scotland

Julian Derrick

Apothecary, Death Eater, '79.

Julian is just a bit psychotic, but most find his arrogance either amusing or annoying. While he's good with knives he can't duel to save his life and depends on his words and wit to fight rather than brute strength or heavy magic. He's political, kills for fun in private and can be dangerous when provoked, but his reputation is in potions and he's reliable.

Connections: Greater Manchester, Death Eaters, the elite

Kirley Duke

Weird Sisters lead guitar, '78.

Raised by a crazy Scottish Quidditch player and driven insane by the Welsh, Kirley's a former junkie who weighs about twelve pounds and can hardly remember his first name. He's loud, he's spoiled, he's addicted to everything, and every once in a while he angsts because of dead sister. Oh, and he's flipping terrified of dogs.

Connections: Musicians, rebels, Scotland, Wales, Surrey, Quidditch

Kirsty Proudfoot

MLE, '80.

Kirsty's one of those mad Gryffindors just out of Auror training. Though three years led to being fired and then rehired as a member of the MLE when Riddle redid the Department. She's currently living with, and shagging one Cash Proudfoot. She's the daughter of a sheep farmer from outside of Liverpool and a Scottish woman and so she can't be understood ever. Short with a temper of a Scot, she's a crazy little Muggleborn.

Connections: Scotland, Seven Sisters, Ministry, MLE, Liverpool

Lucas Wilde

Culinary artist, Order, '77.

Lucas is currently expecting a baby with his wife and best friend Charlotte Fenwick. He's a former alcoholic, anorexic and LSD addict and he owns the Blackbird in Diagon Alley. Lucas is insane and hates a lot of people. He wears a lot of plaid and a lot of flannel, and he's emo when he's sober. He likes blowing up fast food chain restaurants with the Weird Sisters' lutenist.

Connections: Ireland, London, Order, musicians, Diagon Alley

Lucius Malfoy

Unspeakable, Death Eater, '73.

Raised by deaf parents, Lucius doesn't really like to talk that much, and he doesn't appreciate jokes about being an Unspeakable who doesn't speak. He somehow ended up in the Department of Mysteries, where Riddle promoted him to High Inquisitor, and he spends most of the day eating cake and learning to control the weather. He enjoys cake and privately cooing over Draco, and hates unnecessary cussing and the migraines he's been getting since... August.

Connections: Death Eaters, Unspeakables, the elite, Wiltshire

Madailéin Moran

Chaser for the Ireland National Team, '76.

Madailéin Moran simply goes by Maddy, and the girl is more Irish than one could know. Her name generally comes last in the famous "Troy, Mullet, and Moran", but she believes she deserves to come first. Mads plays as a Chaser for the Ireland National Team, and she has no other job, but she's mainly living life in the entertainment business.

Connections: Ireland, Quidditch

Merton Graves (Ned Blake)

Weird Sisters cello, '76.

A serial killer deep down? Eh, maybe. Despite the subconscious sociopath that lies dormant within, Ned Merton whiles away his time being the baroque violoncellist-cum-rock star he's accidentally become. He's a jerk, but he's pretty much set the rules for Punk Bands That Use The Cello to come. (Hello, Cursive?)

Connections: Musicians, rebels, London

Myron Wagtail

Weird Sisters lead singer, '78.

Wagtail doesn't need a full name. He's part Welsh, part French, part goat. He loves candy and anything that can get in his hand to eat. Hardly sleeps and hops when awake. Totally insane. Oh, and kinda sorta with Alecto.

Connections: Wales, France, Diagon Alley, Surrey, musicians

Peter Pettigrew

Postman, Order/Death Eaters, '78.

His quill keeps time, his penmanship is tiny, and his head sure does love that wall.

Connections: Order, Death Eaters, post office, wall

Regulus Black

Parasiiti lead singer, Order, '79.

Regulus runs around in bunny suits at Order meetings to try to give Alastor Moody a heart attack. In turn, Alastor Moody tries to send Reg on missions where there's a high risk of him getting killed, but has yet to find success! After faking his death and eating rats for a bit, he ended up starting a band with a bunch of ex-pats and oddballs in Finland.

Connections: Musicians, London, Finland, Order, rebels

"Rocko" (Jebediah) Cohen

WWN Presenter, '77.

The Token [Jew] American Transfer Student Guy, Rocko is the new, improved, and delightfully wholesome guy who tries really hard to hang out with the Death Eaters and ends up going to muggle cinema with the enemy. He's really not very good at that whole 'elitest' thing, it's not his fault!

Connections: America, WWN, UPWARS

Sirius Black

Auror, Order, '78.

Sirius is reformed slut and cokehead and due to his Super SpermTM he has two kids with Gemma Croaker (now Black). He's quite oblivious and likes his cannabis, yes he does. He's a fan of travel and obscene noises and blowing bubbles in his milk.

Connections: Order, Ministry, London, Marauders

Walden Macnair

Executioner with the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures, Death Eaters, '75.

The protector of the wizarding world! Or so he wishes, at least. An idealistic and happy-go-lucky crusader, Walden loves his job as Executioner with the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures. He's a thrill seeker so long as the thrill doesn't include Dementors, and for the foreseeable future, he thankfully lacks his canonical black mustache.

Connections: Scotland, Ministry, Death Eaters, UPWARS

Xavier Jordan

WWN Presenter, Order, '75.

The mad, mad, mad father of Lee Jordan, X is one of nine children. Born in South Africa, he's one of those "crusader for a lost cause" folks, the more lost the better, and he sure as hell likes to talk. He, along with his entire family, was required to learn karate for self-defense growing up, and yet he seems to end up hurt, arrested, or inexplicably in a dress an awful lot.

Connections: Order, WWN, London

Glenda Chittock

 WWN Presenter, Death Eater, '73

First off, NEVER call her Glenda! It's Glen or anything else really. Glen's your favourite Wizarding DJ and presenter of the Rock show 'The Witching Hour.' She's the loveable Hufflepuff Death Eater who joined because she felt like it'd be fun (and it is)! She's quirky and loud. Loyal and Devious... and she's one hyper ball of fun! Glen's interests include: Alcohol, Chaos, Partying, Music, Sex , Dancing, and Laughing. After three long term relationships over the years, Glen's finding herself a mite lonely. Problem is... good Death Eaters who like to have fun seem hard to find these days.

Delilah Savage

Humanitarian/Nurse/Novelist/Unspeakable '77

The child of foreign born African muggles, Delilah knows the value of good charity.  She was born in the Congo, raised in Manchester, and returned to the Congo as a nurse between the ages 18 and 23.  Now that she is back, living in SoHo, she spends her time breaking up fights, writing books with happy endings, and attempting to befriend people who really just wish she would stop being so nice all the damn time.  Her positive out look on life is often viewed as naive, but she's found that being friendly gets her ahead in life (as well as a job as an Unspeakable).  Besides, she is so friendly that even Riddle can't stand to kill her!

Connections: The Congo, Unspeakables

Inka Astrauckas

Victorian Corserty, '78

Inka is a walking party. Not known to be sad, or say something depressing, this girl can find the rainbows in anything. Due to an accident years ago, Inka is slowly losing her eyesight but not even that can get her down. Growing up in a Soviet country, Inka soon found herself best friends with the twin Jones boys and hauling them off to weekly parties when they were home. Currently working at Victorian Corsetry, Inka fills her day filling pint glasses and giggling at everything. Oh and she's a piercer and a math genius. A girl has to have hobbies after all.

Rodolphus Lestrange

Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, Death Eater, '73

After his rather annoying and messy divorce from Bellatrix Black, or Trixie to Rodolphus, he decided that it may have been time for him to get on with life and really get out there. Do some good, get a job. So he ended up bribing his way into the Ministry and taking over one of the lesser departments where he felt like he could really get away with doing nothing but smoking. Which he does well. He can usually be found at work, though most times he heads down to the Department of Mysteries to visit Lucius, or making waffles. As he claims his waffles are the best.

Sioned Derrick

Ambassador, Author, Death Eater, '82

The youngest member of the Doyle family, Sioned fought her way through butter and frogs to prove herself and to write a book about elves and politics. Highly involved in anything political she can get her hands on, Sioned tends to act before she thinks and lets her mind wander just a little too much. After her marriage to Julian Derrick, Sioned decided that it was high time to start playing real live Risk and along with Julian and a small but loyal staff of assistants have been doing just that. She, unlike Hitler, did play Risk as a child.
